Browser speed comparisons An unbiased as it can be, this article compares so many kinds of browsers with so many versions of each browsers on so many operating systems. Overall, it's a good read, and if you don't want to read the whole article, just jump to the conclusion. http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html After reading the article, if you don't have a good reason why you are still using one of those slow browsers, I think it's your time to change your browser. For myself, I am currently using Firefox 1.0? Why not Opera? It was my favorite browser, but sadly Gmail doesn't work in Opera as well as in Firefox. I am still waiting eagerly for Opera 8.0, and by that time it launches, don't be surprised if I switch back to Opera. It has been proven as the fastest browser, and I love a fast browser. So, which browser are you using right now? Saturday, February 19, 2005

Be afraid if ... Just wanted to share the verse I read this morning. "The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation." (Numbers 14:18) and "you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you." (Numbers 14:34b) The last verse made tremble and thought hard. Have I gone too far from God as to become His enemy? Be afraid if you have God against you, be very very afraid. Tuesday, February 15, 2005
Memory Usage Madness ![]() Yeah, just one of those days when some applications decided to hung my notebook by hogging 2 GB of memory usage. No option but to turn it off the "hard" way. Now who said, 1 GB RAM was enough? hehe... Friday, February 11, 2005
Chinese New Year - D plus 1 The next morning, it was another visiting-friend-house day. Dewe and I went together with Titin to her house, stopped by Shop and Save to buy something to cook along the way. It was pasta for our lunch. If lunch time was at Titin's place, dinner time was at my place. We all gathered for dinner at Bukit Panjang Plaza, then came back to watch American Idol 4. Chit-chat for an hour or so, and so the day ended as Dewe and Titin went back to their own home-sweet-home. This week was easily the most eventful Chinese New Year I ever had in my five years in Singapore. Thanks friends :) Thursday, February 10, 2005
Chinese New Year - D day Neah ... no red packets, but lots of fun. In the morning, Asen and I went to Emmy and Ruby's place for lunch. Interestingly, the condo name is Emerald Park. We cooked simple fried rice, which by the way, tasted good. Thanks Emmy ;) After lunch, we wanted to watch Kungfu Hustle which Asen bought. We loaded into DVD player, waited for couple of minutes watching advertisements, which cannot be skipped, to find that the DVD only has Chinese subtitle. hoooaaa... too bad, we then switched to watch Raising Helen. A very good movie it was. After letting ourselves laze at the sofa, we walked downstairs, and played squash, continued by tennis. Met someone called Angel, introduced by Ruby who came to play tennis. Finished our workout, we went up, took a bath, and went to Great World City to find dinner and to buy Constantine movie ticket. Our plan didn't come out as expected as we can only get the first row for 9.50 PM slot, and 10.10 PM show ticket has been sold out. The next show will be at 00.40 PM. After some discussion, we decided that we'll go for the after-midnight show. And it was dinner time, we went to Nasi Padang opposite Great World City and had our quick dinner there as they were closing soon. After dinner, we realized that we still have more than three hours before the show started, so we all slowly walked back to Emerald Park, and watched the episode finale of Amazing Race 6 there for two hours. Congrats to Freddy and Kendra. We walked back to Great World City soon after midnight and found a full-house theatre waiting. Amazing how so many people came just to see the midnight show. Guess that include us as well, hehehe... The Constantine, hmmmm, was a good show, but it was too difficult to comprehend, gone too far from the truth, made very wild assumptions about Heaven and hell. Oh, it was ONLY a movie anyway, never mind that. After Matrix, and now Constatine, I wonder if our Keanu has found himself like to act in this kind of out-of-this-world-hard-to-understand movie. When the movie ended, we all were sitting with our blur face, looking at each other, see if anyone has really understood what was that movie all about. We walked back to Emerald Park, and stayed a night there, I slept in the living room just in front of the TV ;) Wednesday, February 09, 2005
Chinese New Year - D minus 1 Six of us gathered in Somerset, then scoutted around for our dinner. We went to Cineleisure, but the restaurants on the basement are all closed, so we tried Heeren, no luck. In the end, we stopped by Swensen's at Crown Prince Hotel for our dinner and deserts... *nyum* After that, we walked to Bar None besides Marriott Hotel, but well, we just walked by. We then proceeded to Boat Quay, walked one big round, took some snaps along the way. Reached home around 1 AM, and must now sleep to prepare for tomorrow. And of course, here are the photos. ![]() Deserts at Swensen's ![]() In front of Fullerton Hotel ![]() Walked half big round, half more round to go So, how do you spend your Chinese New Year Eve?
